A poem

I am grateful for my life each day,
for my warm and loving home, I pray.
I’m grateful for a body so strong
that carries me with health along.

I’m grateful for the words I weave,
the money earned, the dreams achieved.
For laughter from my grandsons dear,
their shining smiles I hold so near.

I’m grateful for my husband’s care,
his steady love that’s always there.
For sons we cherish, heart and soul,
their happiness, our greatest goal.

I’m grateful for the sun’s bright gleam,
the rolling waves, the flowing stream.
For blossoms blooming, soft and sweet,
in gardens where the seasons meet.

I’m grateful for the paths that I can roam
through Kew’s bright gardens, far from home.
Thank you, universe, for all you send —
Your endless gifts that have no end.
