Her Home

A bee’s relentless journey to build a home

Hovering that bamboo bush,
Breathing into crooked nodes
I saw her stealing into a hole
Repelling herself, she revealed
That blowing wind took a turn
Bent her wings and rebelled
Found a wall, sturdy and dry,
A crack too small but crept in
Propelling out, not to fall
Diving down, she squeezed in
A draining pipe let her pass
Dripping clouds dampened air
Still, she strained to…
