Pieces of passivity
Flying through the air
The art of letting go
Try it if you dare.

Pride and self-importance
And then there’s being humble
Steering clear of potholes
Careful, you might stumble.

Boys will be boys holding toys
Braggarts and big heads
The front of the pack often lacks
The glue to join the threads.

The fear is clear that falling
Can be the enemy
Yet, despair can lead to care
Love, hope, and empathy.

Kindness is a virtue,
With no ulterior device
Camouflaged as morality
Like the bird of paradise.

Ways we praise each other
Be careful what you say
If you seek the sort of answer
Meant to make your day.

Humility is the ability
To think outside yourself
It may be fun to be number one
And not left on the shelf.

Pride can be the fashion
Ego, something to throw
Humbleness is happiness
In the art of letting go.
