I Don’t Want to Be a Writer

Poetry

I don’t want to be a writer
It is way too hard
Who cares about the stupid Bard?

“But writing can be great! You do it anyway.”

Yes, but that is just an escape
Writing requires too much waiting
Staring at the walls
It is just so… aggravating.

I know why you are resisting
Steering away
Saying no, insisting.

Because this is not what you wanted
Not in the plans
But continuously haunted.

By the urge to put down in words
All those feelings
All those hurts.

So let’s take the pain
And show someone
Without any refrain.
The words
Inside my brain.
