The fan is buzzing
The washer’s roaring
My heart is pounding
wondering what’s next
allowing for only the best
Craving your kisses
your teeth
your tongue
Elbows and knees
topped off with
blueberries and tangerines
Te Voglio Bene
I dreamt we were in Sicily
naked in the rain
kissing each other
again and again

*Author’s note: I wrote this poem when David and I were quite young (our early twenties) and falling head-over-heels in love.

“Te Voglio Bene” means I love you in Italian.
