I Probably Shouldn’t Tell You This

A poem for the other cogs in the machine

I probably shouldn’t tell you this,
But your life has been a lie.
You’re a cog in a machine
And at the whim of the design.
Reduced to a number, not a name
No one cares about your time.
The rules were made for you, not them,
While they make a dollar, and you a dime.
