They told me repeatedly,
“Time is money!”
I thought if I had money,
I could have bought time.
I wish I could buy time
for your love and joy.

You told me repeatedly
that you love to spend
some time with me but
couldn’t afford it now.
I cut down my expenses
with a view to saving money,
so that I can make more
investments for our future.

Lately, I have discovered
that I have no future ahead.
Now I think that if I had
enough time, I could’ve
been in love with someone
who is rich enough to afford
some time with me only.

Presently, I am searching for
that kind of romance
which money cannot buy.
That kind of love does not
have any expiry date.
Neither perishable nor fragile.
Definitely costly.

It always demands
our invaluable time.
Please remember,
money can never buy time!
