and still, he bent over the
glossy black metal
struggling to form it into
the new weapon,
the one that the king
would hold
a weapon for a warrior
a weapon
to pass down
from father to son,
a weapon to forge
destinies,
to decimate
enemies,
a weapon encrusted with a jewel
of power.
