Let’s Raise a Toast

Let’s raise a toast

To people we lost before they left
And people that died and left us bereft
To the habits that brought us here
To the raging desires and silent fears

Let’s raise a toast

To the fond memories we managed to collect
And the lessons we managed to save
To mistakes we will never be able to correct
And secrets that will die with us in the grave.

Let’s raise a toast

To the times we broke things
To build them better
To the times we broke things
And broke them forever.

Let’s raise a toast, in the silence of the night.
Let’s raise a toast, and drink the river tonight.
