we all have a piece of the moon,
the sun, and the stars
on the day of our birth, a drop of
moonlight came down with a piece
of sunlight, and a ray of starlight
poured into a baby’s heart
when the baby has its first
cry, life shouts out through the baby,
“I’m here”

Moonsunstar is melded into
our fabric from day one
the instant of breath
teaching us there is good and
evil, light, and dark, yet their light
would never abandon us

it tells us a favorite story about
how we came to be
putting in different beliefs
some said we’re here because
of Adam and Eve
science said we came out of
the waters and evolved eventually
ape to man

what’s important is that we are
here and capable of figuring out
our beliefs, to help mankind, to
further our existences, to labor,
learn, and cope
