Mothers Bring Life

A poem

Mothers bring us into life
they keep us safe and fed
clothing us as we grow
holding us when upset and
always there when we go to bed

Taking care of us when sick
reading to us and taking us on
vacation, to the park, or for a walk
but mostly seeing us in a special way
Listening when we talk

Helping us whenever we are in need
we are carried and dressed when
young
teaching us right and wrong
loving us with hugs and kisses all
year long

Listening to our feelings
strengthening us when life is tough
shopping for us
sharing their love and knowledge
protecting us from harm, never enough

Sticking up for us
having faith in us resounds
searching and finding us when lost
braving all for us
we are truly bound
