Nails and Relationships

They protect and can harm

Memories are like a knife
And balm.
They could cut through you.
Heart, and heal like a balm.
They remind us of our relationships all the time.
Nails are like relationships.
They protect the tips of
Fingers and toes alike.
Pulling them out hurts us
More than them.
The pain dies with time.
Nails and relations grow back,
The shape, the surface is normally
Crocked, rough, and ugly…
