I shan’t mind as one thousand
stories born of my creation
are never to be
seen.

Read the above three hundred
times if it is yet
untrue.

Unless the money
really matters
so much
to
you.

I should now compose the
opposing
program, since
I really need the
cash.

What of real writing work
that pays you
in a
dash?

This poem has been derailed and
I don’t want to fix
it; at this rate,
I’ll be cooking
again— or even end up
back
in the dish
pit.
