Reach for the stars
they twinkle with
lights, shining
upon us
in the dark
of night.

Near and far
they shine bright.

Falling stars
rain down,
sprinkling a
flashing happiness
upon unhappy,
sad, sorrowful souls.

Another twinkling star
blossoms from afar,
falling slowly
into saddening,
hearts
comforting them
consoling them.

Sometimes a star
shoots past me
glistening gallantly
like a brave
soulful soul.

Then the news
loud and clear
‘Gone so quick from us’
never to
be sighted again.
