“Daddy, I can’t keep going.”

“Just keep going, son.”

“Ahhhh!”

“Son!”

In a gasp, Tem returned to reality. His palm gripped tight to the spaceship window. He let go of the window, leaving behind condensation from the pores of his figures, his hand drenched in sweat.

The memory of the great panic was so much to bear.

He attempted to sidetrack his mind from the incident and looked through the spaceship’s window to see what remained of planet earth.

Tem had lived there most of his life with his wife and son, but he knew of the inevitable last days on earth. Many individuals before have left the planet given its desolate soil, yet Tem remained. No matter how barren the earth became, there wasn’t anything it failed to provide.

He again gripped the glass with his hand and sighed with relief after the memory transpired. What happened in the past is over; no need to worry.

As Tem looked through the window, he saw a woman reflected behind him.

“How are you doing, sir, she said.”

“I’m okay; only a bit shaken up, Tem said.”
