Rest in Relative Peace

Old house in graveyard

In the family plot
ancestors stir
Ancient bones
of discontent

Forgotten feuds
fester still
Wormy secrets
buried shallow
while roses wilt
on grandma’s grave

Her judgment
clings like mold
Shadows seethe
under marble
hissing curses
rattling rage

Bloodline flows
through hallowed ground
promising anything but
eternal peace
