America was never great, we have always been eating off of others' plates

Poor people can't even catch a damn break, they dying trying to come up for god sake

Government making promises they always break

Politicians are like snakes steady on the take, from that day of birth to their damn wake

You think black people got a fair shake, man get your head straight

I think your brain gone missing or you half-baked
so let these words kind penetrate and flush out that hate

after all, it don't make sense, this country was built on the backs of slaves and immigrants

trying to hide and conceal contents
buying votes for dirty presidents, we all getting played by the 1%

trying to talk like it's all past tense,
it's happening now you dence or just a half wit

the hatred will only increase, please bow your head now for the deceased

All they do is take and rape and overcharge tax and inflate and expect us to stay in place covering up truths that can't be erased

We not winning we all lost, from slavery to the Holocaust

Uncle Sam sending our children across seas,
barely enough pay to meet their needs

that's wicked if you ask me, it's like flipping off their families

Now you can rant, you can rave but still going on today
ongoing slave trade examples like

Remember Mister Sunday Iabarot

Not knowing if he can live to see tomorrow
basically, living on time that’s borrowed
we all are to blame that hard to swallow

Escaped from Nigeria, face branded in Libya feeling all inferior because know you meet their criteria

Shackled hands at your waist with a three burn your face,
this world's hateful place,
pretty much a damn disgrace

Trying to reach a land of opportunity but reaching nothing
nightmares and broken dreams

Being sold and caught up in schemes
and this ain't the Jim Crow era it was 2016

Scheme having a three burned your damn face, this world's a damn disgrace

People disappearing without a Trace, buried in Mass Graves and they don't own up to their mistakes

DAMN RIGHT IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE SO SAY IT WITH ME NOW, SAY THEIR NAMES

Tavon White, Eric Garner, Brenda Taylor, Jamil Floyd
Tamara Rice, Justin Howell, Jermaine Reed, James Boyd

Ahmed Aubrey, Michael Brown, John Sanders, Stephen Clark
Tony Robson, Ezell Floyd, Keith McLeod, Frank Smart

Eric Harrison, David Manatee, Maya Hall, Brian Day
Salvador Eastwood, Betty Jones, Victor Laros, Billy Ray

Erica Reason, Kevin Hicks, Anton Sterling, Freddie Gray
and the number continues to rise every night and every day

No justice no peace no love for the disease — no serve and protect, just knees on the neck — no hope just grief, hatred, disbelief no justice no peace no justice no peace
