A bleeding heart

Save your tears, he isn’t worth it
It won’t change the outcome,
It’s just salted water,
You’ll get a headache.

Save your tears, it won’t make a difference,
It’ll never be a flowing river,
Washing your sorrows away,
So why bother.

Save your tears, why the stalking?
Checking if he’s moved on,
He has,
For him, you weren’t so memorable,
He’s found his soulmate,
Thinking of their future together,
Gifting her blooming flowers,
The same he blamed for his allergies,
So, why ponder.

Save your tears, it’ll never heal your broken heart,
Just leave you without any form of emotion,
Making you not want to try again,
Try again to see if there’s someone better,
Someone who’ll reciprocate your feelings.

Save your tears, you have to eat something,
Even if it’s just a bite,
Get your energy up
Don’t look malnourished,
Making people wonder why,
Why so feeble?
Wanting to investigate.

Save your tears, why go down memory lane?
Reliving the times you were blinded,
Blinded by the euphoria called love,
As blind as a bat,
With no vision of his flaws,
It was all fallacy.

Save your tears, they won’t make the desert fertile,
Instead, it gives you poor skin turgor,
Red and sunken eyes,
Soon, tears form no more,
Like those of a bereaved mother,
One who’s been crying all day for her stillborn.

Save your tears, you wanted to be alone,
So, you took a trip to this barren land,
You’ve been here for days,
Wasting away,
The scorching heat, giving sunburn blisters,
The dry air causing your lips and skin to crack,
It won’t make you feel any different.

Save your tears, your time of mourning is over,
Jilted, you shall be no more,
Such a woman in her prime,
Crying over spilled milk,
One that was soured in the first place,
It’s just absurd.

But seriously, save your tears,
You are close to severe dehydration,
You’re speaking incoherently,
We need to leave this place,
Before the only thing left of us is our bones,
Our bones, drier than the earth on this wasteland.
