A normal day turned into a nightmare
As metal screeched and shattered the air
The crash took away all the cheer
Leaving behind only pain and fear

The impact threw us off like a rag doll
As memories started to blur and sprawl
Our bodies ached, our hearts shattered
All around us, chaos and disaster

The wreckage now a tragic sight
A once-loved car now a bundle of might
Our dreams and hopes now lay crushed
Our hearts heavy, our minds hushed

The tears flowed freely down our face
As we thought of our life’s pace
The future now murky, uncertain
Our lives upended in just a sudden

We’ll always remember that fateful day
When life turned upside down in every way
Our hearts ache for what could have been
As we pick up the pieces and try to win.
