The Lark

Speechless

Poetry

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio from Pexels

I remember the moment,
when I first met you.
My eyes drank you in.
My voice escaped my lips.
You left me speechless.

Your chiseled face, piercing eyes,
and magnetic smile
greeted me so warmly.
I held my breath,
and I could not speak.
