Star Journey

A poem — above and below

we exist because of the energy
of the stars
energy first creating dust
and light so powerful it swirled
and crashed and made fusion
creating stars, the sun the largest

so you can say we are or have
been star-struck
starlit
startled
star-studded
are starlets
starred as prominent as a starship
starlike

developed like an instar
stages of growth taking on
new forms and changes until
mature

like wanderstars and starry-eyed
costars in certain sequences
superstars in all our goodness
never starless once entering the
universe
a starlet gathered in stardust

we create stories of star lore, mythical
stars, and star patterns like folklore
like star clusters, we gravitate into
groups sometimes and move to the
rhythm of gravity
