Survivors

With a night scene out of the window

Photo by Tom Grünbauer on Unsplash

Five days a week
Standing, not sitting
in the train full of soul twins
A night scene out of the window
and thousands of my twins’ reflections
They seem to whisper,
“I’m glad you survived.”

Energy drained after a week
Standing, not sitting
in the train full of the same faces
The sun doesn’t rise on the round-trip
and thousand of my faces’ reflections
They seem to solace,
“I’m glad you’re one of the survivors.”
