Swimming in Rain

You are going to get wet anyway

Mist rises off a lake as a swimmer’s head is seen above the water.

I love to swim on rainy days, grey and grim.
It guarantees no one else will be in.

Will it let up? I wonder, doubt.
I’ll be soaked the minute I step out.

I’ll get wet before and after,
even during. It doesn’t matter.
