Ray and Simone sat at the kitchen table, coffee brewing with its burbling sounds nearby on the counter, they enjoyed the toast and egg breakfast that Ray had prepared for them. They didn’t, however, enjoy each other's company at this moment.

They’d had one of their tiny spats earlier this morning when Simone had interrupted Ray while he was telling her about a project…
