Before my time here
Before the clock of my life began
I was conceived
By His hand
Through His will
According to His plan

I existed in the universe
Pending
Created soul
Through connection of souls
Then conceived
Then manifested into being

Through the gate of existence I appeared
Alive
Breathing
Growing
Knowing

Before words or the concept of such things
There was love
There was warmth
There was peace

As I entered this place
This space of being and existence
I was equipped with a compass
To always direct me back to myself

The journey is rooted in a legacy
One of the losses
And wrong turns
And pitfalls

There is a knowing I can never truly be lost
Yet being able to feel present in that eludes me
Always just…
