The Big Fair And Your Promise

I kept waiting

Photo by Utku Özen | @theutkuozen on Unsplash

You promised to take me to the big fair,
you said you’ll find time from your busy schedule,
I made lists in my mind, all through the day,
bamboo flutes, with vibrant colors,
a little wooden toy, a small chariot, clay elephants,
a plastic mask, a doll, a miniature kitchen set,
oh, I wanted to buy out the entire fair.
