Time — A Tall Long-Haired Man
A poem about finding love after loss

I got lost long before I was born
between two walls that are closing in
-myself and the rest-
I’m growing scales on my left elbow
I can’t fit anywhere but through a blast
The sea can swallow our limits
I’m more scattered than a leaf’s veins
when loneliness is triggered
I fall into the water and you are my bond with the world
a less claustrophobic life would mean to lose ourselves
the joy melts on the deserted beach
then reappears as circles on your body
Time — a tall, long-haired man-
keeps saving me from drowning
