When lovely woman drifts to frenzy,
And the riptides threaten her buoyant self.
She’ll face the mirror’s bright disunity.

When darker seas dissolve in reverie,
Her mind, unmoored, tossing upon a gulf —
When lovely woman drifts to frenzy.

She’ll tattoo grave wounds with stolen artistry,
And bellow falsetto to forsake herself.
She’ll face the mirror’s bright disunity.

She’ll rearrange sombre beats with mastery,
When harmony slips, unstrung from itself.
When lovely woman drifts to frenzy.

In a shuttered church she’ll seek immunity
On a cracked vessel for a lunar sea,
She’ll face the mirror’s bright disunity.

Undone, she’ll tap around identity —
And disfavor help, retiring to oneself.
When lovely woman drifts to frenzy…
