Wind Chimes

Taming the tempest of my heart

The night it started it was storming
Not just storming, but raging

The walls of the world were shaking
Not comparing to the quaking in my heart

Years of fearing the falling sky
Vanished once I fell for you

Lightning crashed as midnight passed
Carrying our magic into a new day

Darkness never a match for your light
Illuminating the cobwebs of my deserted hope

When you least expect it is right
When you never anticipated even more so

Clouds rolled in and you blew them away
As you made room for stars to crown my canopy

The night it started it was storming
Hushed only when my soul found yours
