This winter, make a den of your body.
Line it with feather-soft pillows and drink dark chocolate.
Surround yourself with the stories which nourish your spirit,
light a single candle in the window to illuminate the way for others.
I do not know which of your quiet acts of bravery went unseen this year —
but I do know that they were there.
You have traveled a great distance,
even if you sometimes have trouble…
