The Lark

Yesterday

On repeat

Yesterday
spun like
tiny baby spiders,
wrapped in the web
of robocalls
and redlining.
Of thank you for callings,
and seconds ticking by like
keys bleeding,
-clacking-
machine gun fast.
The day ends
in a blur,
unraveling conversations
from my head,
thread by clingy thread
only to repeat
tomorrow’s
Yesterday.
