Meet the Team
We’re a Berlin based startup bringing renewable and inexpensive hydro electricity from Siberia to the European cryptomining market.

Max Matrenitski, CEO & cofounder
Max is a crypto enthusiast and a serial entrepreneur. He started mining in 2014 and still keeps a picture of his first Dragonminer 1TH/s on the fridge.
Max is originally a systems engineer and he later completed his postgraduate studies in strategic management and business administration.
Max started his first business in Irkutsk in 1996, a newspaper aimed at the local computer hardware resellers in the region. He is now based in Berlin and can be found in the Factory business club most days of the week.
Pavel Grachev, cofounder
Pavel was born in Uzbekistan, raised in Siberia, and is now based in Luxembourg. He spent most of his career in consulting, finance and sales for large industrials, working across Europe and Central Asia. He holds an MA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Luxembourg.
Pavel has a passion for making things happen. Apart from cryptomining, he initiated and manages what he likes to call “creative” real estate.

Malcolm Cannon, CMO
Malcolm is originally from London but has been part of the Berlin start-up scene since 2013.
He’s a successful Product Owner having helped the last two companies he worked for break the $1 million annual revenue mark.
Malcolm has been trading cryptocurrencies since 2016 and was one of the original investors in the ICONOMI investment platform. He was one of the cofounders for the Hive Index: a swarm intelligence-led Digital Asset Array (DAA) that lets you buy and hold the 25 most popular Crypto Assets on the iconomi.net platform, via a single fully liquid investment.

Frank Tore Thornæs, Angel Investor
Tore was born and raised in Trondheim, Norway.
He’s been involved in the crypto mining scene since 2013, and is the owner of the Norwegian mining startup Norhash AS.
He currently works full time as an infrastructure engineer and his passion for mining and his attention to detail help us get the best deals for our customers.
Waldemar Neufeld, Angel Investor
Waldemar was born in Russia. In 1996 he came to Germany and one decade later he had graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, as a mathematician.
He is currently working as a software engineer in the pharmaceutical industry, where he implements his statistical and mathematical knowledge.
Although he has only been really interested in crypto for quite a short time, he was ready to invest in Cyberian Mine GmbH, because he believed in the overall concept of the company.
