Before our Physics professor dismissed us, he gave us a problem. “The first person to answer correctly with the complete solution will have an additional 10 points in the upcoming exam,” he said.
I focused on solving and finished before everyone else. My eyes glanced at his as if saying, “I’m done and desperate for the bonus points.”
Suddenly, he announced a twist: giving the wrong answer equates to minus 10 points. I doubted my answer, and then, one of my classmates approached him and showed the class her solution.
She got it right. We had the same answer.
There go my 10 points.
