Would These Star Wars Characters Like Our New ‘Celestial Sand’ Cover?
An inside look into Obi-Wan and others’ thoughts on the new color.
When we think of sand, many things come to mind: the beach, the sun, our new notebook color Celestial Sand…the list goes on. But at Rocketbook, we can’t help thinking of space and–more specifically–Star Wars.
Although you may not see a stormtrooper tanning at the beach anytime soon, our new notebook color actually has quite a bit in common with the characters of Star Wars. As such, we tried reaching them for comment but quickly realized that they were too busy saving the galaxy and all. Thus, we decided to conduct some analysis of our own to figure out which of the Star Wars characters would actually like our new Celestial Sand notebook color, and why.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Would he like it?
Yes
Why?
Obi-Wan has developed a great appreciation for sand, as it kept his lightsaber hidden for many years on the sandy planet of Tatooine, hiding his secret identity under the guise of Old Ben. In other words, sand acted as a great ally–it kept quiet and stayed loyal.
Plus, Obi-Wan is a Jedi, meaning he is one with all living things. As he puts it, “the Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It’s an energy field created by all living things.” This makes him and other Jedi the perfect candidates for our reusable notebooks (since they are also one with the planet).
Darth Vader
Would he like it?
No
Why?
First of all, let’s be honest, this guy’s kind of a hater. There aren’t many things he does like. And sand is no exception. As he famously describes sand: “It’s coarse and rough and irritating–and it gets everywhere.” Granted, his suit would be kind of hard to wash after a beach trip, so we get it.
Moreover, he’s a big fan of fire and lava, so the whole water-based erasing technique used for Rocketbook notebooks probably wouldn’t be his favorite pastime. It’s probably a good sign that Darth Vader doesn’t like the Celestial Sand color, though.
Luke Skywalker
Would he like it?
Yes
Why?
As a resident of Tatooine, a sandy desert planet, Luke has a special place in his heart for all things sand-related. In fact, it’s likely that he has even had a few breakthrough training sessions on the sand, as its shape-shifting abilities make it the perfect place to pick up new, unique skills. Similarly, the Rocketbook Everyday Planner is a great place to map out a plan for learning new skills, like how to fight with a lightsaber. In short, Luke would be a fan.
Princess Leia
Would she like it?
Yes
Why?
Leia was actually saved by a hologram, so we think she’d love the free Rocketbook app as its scanning features are exactly like the holograms featured throughout the Star Wars franchise. Okay, not exactly–although one day they may be more similar than we may think. Baby Yoda
Would he like it?
Yes
Why?
Technically speaking, we don’t have a good reason as to why Baby Yoda would like the Celestial Sand notebook color, aside from his nostalgic ties to Mandalore. That said, we basically just wanted an excuse to showcase another drawing of Baby Yoda by a Rocketbook user. So, enjoy:

And there you have it. As you can see, despite one notable hater, most of the Star Wars characters would be all for the new Celestial Sand notebook color. Not to mention that celestial literally means space-related, and these characters have all had their fair share of space moments in their time.
