Last week, in the wild streets of Boston, our very own Ryan O’Hara roamed into the Hynes Convention Center to talk with sales teams at the Salesforce World Tour.

Ryan was just solving math equations on MIT Blackboards. No big deal.

While there, he talked with a bunch of companies, and got the juicy details on a few tools you may want to consider in your sales stack if you use Salesforce.

Here are a few cool ones you should check out.

Distribution Engine by NCSquared

How’s this for a superhero company origin story? NCSquared is a dev team that built a robust tool that automatically round robins leads in Salesforce between your reps.

The reason they are called NCSquared is because their founders are Neal Criscuolo and Neil Crawford. Pretty cool right?

The Neils…or is it Neals (you know what we want to accomplish here) solve a really big problem as sales teams begin to scale, and that’s fighting over ownership of leads.

Naturally Salesforce admins become friends with reps on the floor, and it can sometimes be hard not to be human with who deals with what leads. This makes that process easy so all reps get a chance to succeed with qualifying, selling, and closing leads that come into the system.

If you are a sales operations person who just finds leads off Linkedin, and imports them right into Salesforce for your sales team, but want to accomplish this in a fair way, there is naturally a fit to use this service in addition to LeadIQ (shameless plug).

ActionGrid

So check these guys out. Do you ever prospect off lists, or spreadsheets? In a lot of ways it’s easier to work off them vs. working off a report in Salesforce.

ActionGrid makes it easy to make all your sales activities, accounts, opportunities, leads, and contacts all easier to work off of.

When we’ve done prospecting, it can be tough to keep things organized. The demo we saw really impressed us. You should definitely consider them if your reps don’t like working off the Salesforce UI.

Jitterbit

Nope, not the first part of this song.

Sorry if this song is now stuck in your head.

Jitterbit makes it super easy to integrate anything together.

What’s really impressive is how many apps can easily integrate Salesforce using their platform (i.e. Marketo to Salesforce. SAP to Salesforce). If you are struggling to get all your systems talking together in the cloud, and don’t want to spend time integrating programmatically, you should definitely check them out.

NewVoiceMedia

Lastly, NewVoiceMedia had a great demo at their booth.

Do you ever cold call someone, or have a sales call, and can’t read your terrible handwriting from your notes?

Great phone calls with customers ≠ great handwriting

These guys make it super easy to not only save all your phone calls into Salesforce, but also look at analytics on call volume and answers, leave optimized voicemails, a/b testing audio messages, etc.

As you receive inbound calls too, records in Salesforce will automatically be logged, and previous records will come up.

They turn any phone system into a powerful analytics machine for your sales team.

Ultimately, it was a really cool conference, with a lot of interesting vendors. If you missed out or even if you attended, we want to do something special for you.
