“The Knick,” Cinemax

Life science is having a moment. In addition to three great articles on the DNA-editor CRISPR directly below, there are also two decent science shows right now: The Brain with David Eagleman on PBS and Breakthrough on NAT GEO. Plus — it’s a bit of a stretch, but Soderbergh’s The Knick on Cinemax is an elegant study of the history of surgery.
