Did I Lose My Healthcare and No One Will Tell Me?

Waiting for my health to go to crap!

I am low on my diabetes medication, so I did what I have done for the past year. I went to my pharmacy’s website. I put in my username and password. Then I clicked renew prescription.

A day later, I got a text from my pharmacy. I thought it was the usual text. Your prescription is being refilled. We will text you when it is ready.

Nope! That’s not what it said.

Your prescription requires insurance approval. We’ve contacted your prescriber.

I didn’t panic. I thought this was standard procedure. Every so often, my insurance wants to check with my doctor.

So I waited a couple of days. There is a link to check on the progress. It says the same thing, “Insurance approval required.”

I waited a few more days and heard nothing.

Oh, did I mention I have Medicaid?

I logged onto Medicaid’s website to send a message. Still waiting for word. The pharmacy still shows the same message. I also sent a message to my doctor. And nothing.

Will someone, please, tell me what the hell is going on!
