I Told You!

So when the Republicans tie us up until the end of the year in lawsuit after lawsuit opposing the replacement of Biden with Harris (or, frankly, with anybody), and the EC cannot be certified on January 6th and gets tossed into the House…

…you’d better hope like hell that the rest of the election manages to put control of that half of Congress into Democratic hands — because if the GOP manages to tie things up so badly that Mike Johnson retains the Speakership?

HE will end up being sworn into office on the 21st, and Project 2025 is off to a rousing start, whether he decides to retain that office or get Congress to put Trump in as his VP and then resigns in favor of the Orange Idiot.

Look at this:

THAT is the fuel for lawsuit after lawsuit, and I GUARANTEE you in Red States? They’ll tie our collective asses up for months.

I told you.

And in THIS one, I linked to a site that gives the rules in various States about exactly this situation:

So, now. If, by chance, we’d like to have a decent and reasonable election and an aftermath that isn’t a repeat of the fucking mess the Nazis tossed into the Weimar Republic, let’s get our Federal Law Enforcement agencies off their collective asses and start arresting the people who are threatening IN PUBLIC, and IN THE PRESS to do exactly that.

Even if we manage that, it still ain’t gonna be pretty. I give it a week — maybe two — until the first lawsuit is filed. Trust me, these folks are foaming at the mouth to get this started.

So, when this election is tied up into legal knots, and for the very first time since 1824, we’ve no certified winner of the EC and it gets tossed into congress, don’t blame any of us who warned you this would happen.

In that Ballotpedia article, they only list 19 States and the District of Columbia, and of those 19 states, Kansas is shown as having no such rules. However, when you READ about each state, only a half dozen at best ACTUALLY have rules about replacing a candidate already nominated in their primary. The rest do not. And their list only contains less than HALF the states anyway!

Trust me, this is gonna be a clusterfuck, because if ANY of those lawsuits hit SCOTUS? Well, the Conservatives DO have a majority there, don’t they? Do I have to tell you what THEY’LL do? I sure hope not.

As I’ve made no bones about here before, I’m an atheist. I’ve no trust that there’s any deity anywhere who gives a flying you-know-what about the outcome of this election, so if you DO?

You might want to start some kind of prayer circle or something, because unless some kind of electoral miracle happens NOW, we’re well and truly fucked.

And do NOT try to say I and others didn’t try and warn you.
