Political Portrait Envy
President Donny’s Vanity Hits the Department of Agriculture
Mona McDonald is watching you
King Donny’s mug hangs in front of the Department of Agriculture building. It’s bigly! And it’s bold!
As the tacky road from Democracy to authoritarianism continues.
Donny is taking a page from dictators.
Giant portraits of China’s Mao hang at Tiananmen Square. China replaces it every year. North Korea has its leaders’ portraits hanging in public. Stalin loved his portrait around the Soviet Union. Egypt and Iran’s leaders’ pictures are everywhere, too.
We guess Donny was jealous. So here comes a gigantic banner in D.C. of his official portrait. Why? Why not. His tariffs aren’t winners for farmers. He needs a boost at the agriculture department.
Have other American presidents done this? NO! Is this ahead of Donny’s estimated $45 million vanity parade?
Has he had a fawning cabinet meeting lately? Thanks to your leadership! Your overwhelmingly elected by a majority. UGH!
