The Media is on Trump’s side.
Think about it.
So, if the media is supposed to be so neutral, where are the stories calling for Trump to step aside now that he’s been convicted of 34 felonies? And adjudicated a rapist? And indicted for inciting the J6 attack on Congress, or also indicted for stealing classified documents and refusing to return them? (AND by the way, why isn’t HE in jail during the trial for that, given that anyone else — for just ONE document — would be, and he is accused of taking HUNDREDS.)
Now, don’t start with that “but he’s a former President” crap. All that does is start setting up a new category of people above the law. Supposedly, everyone in this country is to be subject to the law and the penalties for disobeying it. The indictment of Hunter Biden shows clearly that the Presidency doesn’t exist outside the law, or he’d have skated off into the sunset clean as a whistle. But he didn’t and he got tried IN COURT after the Trump appointed prosecutors dropped their offer of allowing him to plead guilty in return for lesser punishment — a process every past indictee for that crime has been allowed when they’ve got a clean no criminal past. Yet, as the sitting President’s son, he got the book thrown at him.
So, why the disparity in how each of these two men are being treated?
Trump stands up in front of a rally and cannot keep himself on topic and rants and raves like an insane idiot, and the media ignores it as if that’s perfectly normal for a Presidential candidate to do.
Yet, let Biden get a cold and have a bad day, and everyone loses their minds and suddenly, he’s a demented idiot!
Look, its obvious somewhere someone has a quiet and silent hand behind what the media is telling us. Trump is, despite being only three years younger than Biden, not at all being portrayed as old, while his performances IN PUBLIC indicate otherwise. While Biden, with multiple public performances in similar situations is clearly sane and mentally there. We see no issues with his performance as President that indicate any issues which could be age related. Yet, Trump had to be helped — four years ago — down a simple ramp, while Biden, falling off of a BIKE (which Trump has probably never even ridden on) after hitting a rut in the road, gets repeated as being age related every time it gets repeated. And Trump’s ramp thing is NEVER mentioned.
And of course, simple mobility issues have nothing at all to do with mental capabilities — look at our only four term President, Roosevelt, who couldn’t even walk! Yet, Trump got a pass on that and Biden still gets hit by those things.
Trump has been described (as President FOUR YEARS AGO) by his past associates and staff as already, at the time, mentally losing it. We’ve heard testimony after testimony by those former associates and staff about his failures and his attacks on the system, his plots, his incitement of others to plot and attack our system.
Yet, all we hear from the media is how BIDEN is too fucking old. Not a single sentence anywhere about his multiple decade career as a dedicated public servant and employee with absolutely no issues with the law or any kind of lawsuits against him for private issues.
And yet, Trump has a long and storied history of cheating his contractors, stealing money from charities, almost literally hundreds of lawsuits against him, one of which has now classified him as a rapist, and he owes millions to various winners of some of those lawsuits (which he has yet to pay a penny to), and the press lets all of that slide into the past as if it has no relevance to the future.
Now, try and explain how this cannot be a problem.
Imma gonna tell you AGAIN.
Trump lost the popular vote in 2016 by almost 3 million votes.
He lost the 2020 election by over twice that much — over SEVEN million votes.
He’s done nothing to try to gain supporters. All he does is lie in his attacks against Biden and the Democrats, and the press does nothing to stop that Gish Gallop, or even to slow it down.
So, again, try and explain, after Haley’s voters have told the pollsters they still believe Haley’s attacks against Trump in the primary so they won’t vote for him and will vote for Biden, how it is that this race is so damn close! Where in the hell have all those new supporters come from? Mars? Venus? Or maybe somewhere outside the solar system?
Because I damn sure can’t see it.
But I CAN see the growing disparity in how the press is covering this race.
And it pisses me off. Just the other day, an article I read said that the Washington Post has lost a significant percentage of their readership over their increasing coverage that sounds more and more like a Conservative point of view of this election. And to me, the New York Times sounds like they’ve hired half of their editors from the New York Post!
So, call that out. Talk about it. Make comments when you can to that affect. Let’s not let them get away with it.
I’ve still got confidence that Trump doesn’t have the raw numbers to win, but the Republicans CAN make things chaotic.
If you live in one of those Red States, write your state election officials and warn them that you’ll be watching and voting. Do the same for your local elections officials. Tell your friends and family who also vote Blue to do that too. Try and push for some kind of deluge of warning letters to try and prevent these idiots from endangering our democracy.
It’s on US, The American People, to defend our democracy — because it damn sure seems that our country’s Press (the only private businesses with constitutional protection) aren’t up to doing that. So we’re going to have to do it.
VOTE. DEFEND. ATTACK those who deserve it.
Push the truth, defend it, don’t let this go unnoticed.
It’s up to us.
