Well, Damn.

I had it all written down, and all it needed was editing.

And then, the frigging SCOTUS had to go and screw it all up.

It isn’t often that my writings get outdated in a single day by one branch of the United States Government! But yes, it happened this week. I had it all done. Oh, there were a couple of things I wanted to go over again and refine, but yep. Done.

BUT thanks to SCOTUS, nope, NOT done! Into the virtual trash it went, and I was really bummed — I really liked the photo I picked!

So, here we are, with our lovely democracy trashed a bit earlier than I thought they’d do. And I do apologize — I truly thought they’d wait for that kind of crap till Trump was in office, but hey, I guess you do get to screw up occasionally, right?

Right?

So, I could start here and go into political satire form (as I’m sure someone is going to do on here soon), but I admit satire really isn’t my bag — not for an entire article, anyway! Yeah, I could go on about how (but as someone else suggested half kidding the other day) that Biden could send Trump’s buddy Bannon to Gitmo — and then (my idea) arrest the entire Conservative side of the court just so they could suffer living as cellmates with a bathless idiot, but hey, in reality, even I’M not that cruel.

Ask my kids, really.

But what I AM serious about is what I wrote in my comment to Lilith’s article the other day.

What I wrote was about how I’d change and reform the Supreme Court.

I still think that’s the ticket, but hey, AOC is one step ahead of me. She released a statement the other day.

“The Supreme Court has become consumed by a corruption crisis beyond its control. Today’s ruling represents an assault on American democracy. It is up to Congress to defend our nation from this authoritarian capture. I intend on filing articles of impeachment upon our return,”

Now, as mentioned by someone else, (IANAL) I’m not going to imagine what she’s going to base her articles on specifically, but I wait for the chance to read those with great anticipation! Because hey, anything to distract the gullible Democrats away from this “Biden should quit” crap.

Seriously, though, It’s a great start. It truly is something to bring us together again, and focus on the real issue, which as I’ve been harping on lately, happens to be the agendas for the two parties, not the personalities nor the ability of either man to do the job.

I mean, come on, people! If the Republicans can nominate and possibly elect a man who is as deranged as Trump (Cough34 felony convictionsCough), why can’t we nominate someone who they claim is also deranged? What’s good for the goose, etc., right?

I read with some skepticism earlier an article that claimed that Trump and a member of one of his staff may have drugged Biden. It even had a purported document displayed. I’m not completely convinced, as I think that the Secret Service would surely be on the lookout for that, especially if one of Trump’s staff was walking around close to that glass, but certainly anything is possible.

But even if it isn’t true, it fits perfectly with something else I’ve been pushing today.

In 2016, Trump won the EC, but lost the popular vote by almost 3 million votes, and did lose both by over SEVEN million votes in 2020. Since then, tell me, has his campaign done anything at all to actually attempt to GAIN voters? Really, has he? To me, I’ve seen him do everything in his power to keep HIS voters excited and ready to vote, but to get anyone else to vote for him?

Hehehe, tell me another one, please, I do need a laugh today.

But under those circumstances, think for a moment. You’re not gaining voters, and you know for a fact that the Party you lead hasn’t got anything on its agenda besides turning the country into a dictatorship (for you! Yay). Patently obvious that nobody else is going to cast anything your way resembling a vote — shit or some other crap maybe, but not actual votes.

What to do? Divide and conquer.

Do everything in your power to make the other side LOSE votes — by dividing them, by causing chaos, by casting doubt on their leadership, whatever you can get away with. Get your rich donors to push the pollsters into making it look like you’re winning and the other guy is…struggling.

And trust me, it looks to me like he’s gotten those rich donors to get to the mainstream media, too. I’ve had at least one long time friend tell me that the Washington Post is FAST losing readership over their recent stories favoring Trump. (Though I’m sure the crap they’re publishing about Ukraine isn’t far down that list either.)

Look, I’m not dreaming nor am I hoping. If you look at the last eight years clearly, what other conclusion can you see? Where, exactly, could Trump have come up with enough voters to manage to push the polls like that? With the kind of insane shit he’s been tossing around? I know a lot of voters don’t always pay attention, but if you even look at the news once a week, it’s impossible not to get some sense of the nutbag Trump has become. And, hey, you have to ONLY listen to Fox to not have heard about the convictions. You can’t tell me those Independents only listen to Fox — or they wouldn't BE Independent voters.

Once upon a time, I was a Republican, in my younger, less experienced days. But as I did gain that experience, and witnessed Bush II’s poor Secretary of State Colin Powell passing on Bush’s lies about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, I stepped away from that Party and voted Independent for a while, thinking that I could just vote for the people I thought were better for each office, regardless of Party.

That worked until Obama’s term. When I read the account of how McConnell got his people together and they decided that ANYTHING Obama supported they’d oppose — even if it had been their ideas in the first place — that was the straw that killed my support for ANY Republican.

It did because it proved to me that that Party was no longer a Party that supported American ideals or principles. If your bigotry will go so far as to be put first — before the country’s welfare — then your bigotry makes you unfit for office or my support. Private bigotry is bad enough, but if you don’t let it inform your official job, then I can look past it. Unfortunately, few real bigots can do that.

So, seriously, I doubt that few real Independents are going to vote for Trump — but they COULD be convinced to sit this one out if they can be convinced that Biden isn’t fit for office, or at least some of them could. Certainly, I read posts and comments by purported Democrats here on Medium saying that even as slim as the evidence is — they’ll not vote for Biden now, after just one bad day.

So there’s Trump’s agenda.

In a nutshell, don’t even try to gain supporters , it isn’t going to work. Just divide the Democrats — that’s EASY!

Way too damn easy if you ask me.
