Why You Shouldn’t Trust Your Feelings Anymore
They usually leave you feeling empty at the end…
Seriously, how does it make you feel when you are joyful about something and the next moment you forget it happened?
You’re in your deepest and darkest moments out of nowhere. And you probably acted on those feelings you had causing your next situation to become worse before it becomes better.
Be honest with yourself. How many times does this happen to you daily?
Some people call it having mood swings, some of us call each other bi-polar. It’s that one thing most of us can relate to but often struggle most with putting into place.
The truth is we can’t trust our emotions.
Here’s what makes this statement true and sad at the same time.
You can’t trust your emotions because they come and go as they please. Often times if you’re trying to hack them you’ll discover how inconsistent they become with your actions.
You know the feeling I’m talking about. You’ve tried everything and for some reason, you can’t get a grip on happiness. It falls through your fingers and you’ve lost it.
You finally get a job and you’re jacked about it. You tell everyone and you write some new goals you’re excited to start working towards. But a few days after the job you feel like you’re in the same place you started. And it starts hurting how you show up to work and the vibe you give off to other people.
Can you relate to this?
Your focus yields the most returns when it’s on the right things. Most of us were taught to place our energy and attention on how we feel so we can use those feelings to improve ourselves and our well-being.
But how can we stand on something unstable and expect to be stable with our happiness?
By distrusting your own feelings, you can rest assured you’ll be making better decisions based on true understandings of yourself and what you really want.
Not based on emotions that leave just as fast as they come.
Let that sink in.
As you think about that remember that you are not alone. Millions of people in our world struggle with the exact same thing. And after all, we’re all on the same quest looking for the answers we most discover come from within.
