A Teacher’s Life

Teacher Life

A poem

Photo by Drew Patrick Miller on Unsplash

I used to carry a small plate
into class with me
back when I could set it aside

(Sometimes it would
even do me a favor
and run and hide)

Or it was small enough
that I could pull it out
and take just one bite
