Why do we exist?
Some thoughts on life and death
No matter how strong we are, no matter how much money we have, no matter what career path we are on… all of us will die someday.
There will come a day when we stop breathing — the only process in the body that keeps us alive.
Why are we even born if we are meant to die? What kind of purpose are we serving by living? Not just me but any human.
What shitshow is going on? And for what? Everyone has to die. No one is immortal. So what’s the bigger plan? Looks like I have a lot to uncover.
Now even when we know we have to die someday, it doesn’t mean that we stop living today just because we know death is inevitable.
We didn’t have a choice in our birth, but we are gifted with this life now. And on our deathbed, we will perhaps know how well we have lived this life.
On our deathbed, we should hopefully have no regrets and be surrounded by the people we love and those who love us. It just makes the journey easier.
Basically, our job is to live a good life, build a support system, provide well for others and help them live a good life, experience the magic that life brings to us.
If I knew the purpose of my life and the reason why I exist, I would do my best to live it every day.
But even now, when I don’t know my purpose, what could I do to make my day meaningful? What does a meaningful day look like to me? Doing something good and good means to improve or to make better someone’s life.
So it ultimately comes down to how I can make myself more meaningful. More of service to the world? What can I do to be more useful to others?
Have you found your life purpose, your reason for existence? What impact would you like to create in the world? What kind of experiences do you want to enjoy?
Let me know, and I’d love to hear from you.
