Harmattan

Once upon a story
Of times and seasons round the orbit
Each morning a different tale
Told with cracked and bleeding lips
And palms as dried as leaves, clapping
With hazy dust in its wake
Dancing saliently to the tune it dictates
When man makes an enemy of his friend
For its pangs are deadly
And its embrace treacherous.
