Our last pick in book club was “The Power,” by Naomi Alderman. It’s a very soothing balm after reading “The Handmaid’s Tale,” which feels uncomfortably real in today’s political climate. It’s frustrating to see the president continue to escape accusations of sexual assault, but in the meantime we can celebrate the little victories. Soon, we’ll have the power.
