What All Independent Women Want

“I can buy myself a diamond ring, so shower me with love and affection instead.”

The word independence simply means “not being dependent.” It is a sense of freedom from being governed and not being dependent on anyone or anything else. But for a woman, it isn’t easy being independent in a male dominated world. Though women are leaving behind footprints on the sands of time, they do have to face harsh criticism and condemnation.

Here are the things all independent women want.

Equality

Women seek equality in both economic and domestic realms. They want to have a fair and equal opportunity to show their worth in whichever industry they work. Whether she’s an actor, doctor, pilot or a factory labourer, she should be rewarded equally considering the same amount of efforts put in by men.

Not Tolerance, But Acceptance

Whitney Houston once said, I like being a woman, even in a man’s world. After all, men can’t wear dresses, but we can wear the pants.” Let her desire something others don’t want her to, let her wear what she likes, let her follow her heart. Try accepting her instead of tolerating her.

Appreciation

It is not easy being a woman. An independent woman wears her pain like stilettos, no matter how much it hurts, all you see is her beauty. They manage it all, from office and household work to kids and family. So it’s time we show them some appreciation.

Stop Stereotyping

Independent women want people to stop seeing the world in pink and blue. They want you to stop making assumptions and stop being judgemental. If you can’t encourage, at least resist yourself from discouraging them. It is only when you get to know them in real, will you be able to respect them for who they are.

No Money Please!

She is an independent woman. She earns for herself, she can buy herself a diamond ring and can spoil herself. When it comes to finding her man, money does not fascinate her. Her happiness lies in some care and affection instead. So stop bragging about your money, make her your priority and try showering her with your time and love.

Be Their Own Role Model

They want to be their heroes. They want themselves to be courageous in taking their decision and setting an example in the process. They wish to take control in their hands to achieve their set heroic goals. If you can’t support them, then sit back and see them go from zero to being their own hero.
