Introducing DAPP Labs — The DAPP Network’s Think Tank & Innovation Hub
The DAPP Network community recently approved and launched a decentralized governance system, enabling it to suggest, debate, and implement changes to the DAPP Network using a robust proposal system without relying on, or requiring, any specific community leader or permissions.
To go along with the DAPP Network’s path towards full decentralization, we are excited to announce the DAPP Labs initiative: The DAPP Network’s framework for ideation, brainstorming, and innovation.
As the creators of the DAPP Network, we at LiquidApps have always believed in an open innovation model that allows for the DAPP Network community to collaborate and push the boundaries of what is possible within the industry through the usage of DAPP Network technology. DAPP Labs aspires to go even further, enabling out of the box thinking and new ideas to thrive!
The DAPP Labs Initiative
DAPP Labs aims to encourage and facilitate the exploration of conceptual ideas, experimental services, unconventional prototypes, and potential products. Having such a framework for discussions within the DAPP Network community between LiquidApps, developers, DSPs, and token holders can inspire the next generation of blockchain innovation, ultimately inspiring the creation of next generation solutions in interoperability and scalability.
Through DAPP Network’s innovation arm, entrepreneurs will be exposed to new technologies they can take a step further to promote as independent ventures. Developers can incorporate code and demo services into their own projects and dApps, and all members of the DAPP Network are welcome to use the open-source repositories and ideas that will be published in DAPP Labs, and are encouraged to contribute to them.
Everything discussed and developed under the DAPP Labs umbrella is intended to demonstrate creative thinking and potential, and may never see the light of day as a fully-fledged product, service, or software. This allows for maximum creativity and flexibility in conceiving solutions.
Envisioning the Future of the DAPP Network Together
The DAPP Network will continue to collaborate transparently through this initiative. All are invited to discuss the ideas and concepts released through DAPP Labs, as well as share areas of interest to explore using the DAPP Network’s Telegram group. Those ideas, initiatives, and suggestions proposed by the DAPP Network community which generate wide attention and discussion will also be published on the DAPP Labs Medium blog.
What will happen to these experiments over time? That depends in part on feedback from the DAPP Network community. Your comments and feedback can elevate an experimental codebase into an integration into the next big dApp — so speak up about initiatives that you find interesting and relevant!
We look forward to expanding one of the world’s most vibrant and innovative technology communities, and seeing DAPP Labs evolve to play a substantial role in it.
