How to change Spotify username? 200% working trick !!

Spotify don’t let you choose your username anymore unfortunately

Edit: Here’s what they say about this in their FAQ:

“ -My username is just numbers and letters?

As we look to improve the overall Spotify experience, we’re now automatically generating usernames, hence the random numbers and letters.

You don’t need to remember this to log in. You can log in with just your password and the email address associated with your account.

During sign up, you can personalize your account by creating a profile name that’s displayed in the app. There are no limitations to a profile name, so you can choose any you like :)”

Not able to choose your customized username and seeing those random no and digits is a pure annoyance.

I finally stumbled on a post on Reddit that mentioned how we can use an old version of Spotify Android Apk to get the username we like using an old Android app ( Version 2.3.0.828), It may not work in future, so…. HURRY!

NOTE: THIS TRICKS WORKS WITH ANDROID APP, SO USE AN ANDROID PHONE OR EMULATOR TO SIGN UP

NOTE: Backup your Spotify playlists to restore them later on!!!

• Creating a new Account

Allow installation from unknown sources coz you are not gonna find this old Spotify app on play store ( Don’t worry — It’s safe )

Download and install an older version of Spotify

Download this old SPOTIFY APK ( important )

After Installing just sign up for a new account

This is our new profile that displays our username and not just some random characters.

Congrats :) You have your own customized Spotify Username now

You can uninstall this app and reinstall the original and log in using your Username/Email on the new app.

You should be intelligent enough for the rest of the part ( importing playlists, etc )
