Winter is here, and there' s a nip in the air. One feels grateful for the woolens, blankets and the hot water. This year we are using green energy and hot water comes in every tap powered by the Solar panels.

Winter is also the season for allergies, colds and coughs. We can ward off many seasonal ailments by concentrating on the food we consume.

Listen to your body!

In winter, the body tries to preserve heat and thus metabolism and digestion are at a lower level. We also resort to a sedentary lifestyle during the cold season eating heavy and rich food.

We tend to drink less water and this causes dehydration and dryness. There’s also a lack of Vitamin D from sunrays.

All these can lead to weight gain, bloating and acidity. Food should be carefully curated for this season.

A mini food guide for the cold season.

1️⃣ Alkaline foods

2️⃣ Roots and Tubers

3️⃣ Carrots, Broccoli, Ginger
